Given its shopping centre location, Casa Cibo makes for a great family-friendly dining option.
The chefs at Casa Cibo make all of their pastas from scratch. The pizza bases get the same treatment, before being cooked in wood-fired ovens that were imported directly from Naples. EatClub loves having this Brisbane venue on the platform!
Built over two floors, this sleek Italian restaurant is owned by the Raw Group (who also own South Brisbane’s Chu the Phat) and it seats up to 350 patrons. While it’s seriously spacious, it’s also warm and welcoming.It’s always nice to settle in with a share board – which will see you having things like salumi, prosciutto, cheeses, olives and house-pickled vegetables. Calamari Fritti are always a crowd pleaser, and the Margherita Arancini are a must-try; they’re as good as the name suggests!
The ‘mains’ menu features an Eggplant Parmigiana Al Forno and a Slow-cooked Pulled Lamb Shoulder served on polenta with parmesan and ‘pangrattato’ (a romantic way to say ‘bread crumbs’).Whether you like pizza bianca or rossa, your pasta creamy or parmesan-sprinkled and doused in olive oil, you’ll find your favourite and want to try something new.
Not only is the kids menu is bright, fun and educational, it covers all the faves: Oven Baked Fish Fingers, Chicken Strips and Bambini Bolognese.
There’s a range of Italian, Australian and New Zealand wines on offer, including chilled wine on-tap, as well as plenty of beers and cocktails. Opt for a classic Negroni or a ‘Tiramisini’ if your mood calls from something that’s all at once alcoholic, chocolatey and decadent.
