In a 19th century heritage-listed building on Hawthorn’s Glenferrie Road sits Le Clec, one of EatClub’s newest partners. The cafe’s menu is mostly Asian-inspired, but there are some surprising leanings into French, American and Italian too. There are lots of sweet things to enjoy in this bright plant-filled cafe. And, there’s sparkling water on tap (which we think is always a plus!).
Le Clec offers everything from turmeric lattes and Mörk hot chocolate to freshly squeezed juices and Tasmanian pinot noir. If you’re after something perkier, order a coffee; Le Clec is one of the only cafes in Melbourne that serves coffee made from Canberran roasters Ona Coffee.
Whether you’re in the mood for an egg dish, hot cakes or something more ‘lunch-like’, you’ll be able to find it on their all day menu. The Son-in-law Benedict is a must-try, which is served on sourdough with smoked ham hock, tamarind glaze, hollandaise and fried shallots. The Buttermilk Hotcakes come with yuzu curd, seasonal fruit and whipped chocolate ganache. You’ll also find Fish Tacos, Duck Penne and Coconut-Palm Sugar Beef Ribs on the menu. But just a warning before you claim an EatClub deal at Le Clec: you’ll want to order everything!
