Things taste better when you’re surrounded by greenery.

While EatClub has no scientific proof for this statement, we can certainly provide anecdotal evidence that dining amid ferns is always a very good idea. Soho Gardens gives the shoppers of Fairfield Gardens Shopping Centre a little paradise escape.

The space is fun, leafy and down-to-earth. The palette is dominated by greens, copper and wooden tones, with palms and ivy everywhere and there are hanging Edison lightbulbs and curious knick-knacks, too.Soho Gardens | BrisbaneSoho Gardens | BrisbaneIf you’re visiting for brekkie, a Soho Benedict is a wise order! It’s either served with Mushroom and Halloumi, BBQ Pulled Pork, or QLD Turmeric Prawns on English muffins with spiced hollandaise.

There’s are plenty of entrees to share to suit the relaxed atmosphere. It features grazing dishes such as Warm olives, Tasmanian Baked Brie, Szechuan Calamari, Three Cheese Arancini and SFC (Soho Fried Chicken) served with sesame and green papaya salad. Bigger dishes are just as diverse: you’ll find things like pie, curry and gnocchi all on the mains list.Soho Gardens | BrisbaneSoho Gardens | BrisbaneSoho Gardens | BrisbaneFrom the grill, there’s Cape Grim Sirloin, Pork Belly and Pan-fried Salmon served with sautéed greens and turmeric hummus. It’s safe to say that things get pretty wild at Soho Gardens; the cocktail list is fittingly just as audacious as the food on offer. There’s a whole page dedicated to G & T’s and plenty of intrepid twists on cocktail classics.

Less boozy options include locally-roasted Fonzie Abbott coffee, cold-press juices, smoothies, milkshakes and a house-made cherry lassi. Yum.

Don’t shop ’til you drop. Shop and have a pitstop at Soho Gardens.
